David Blaine begins latest shocking stunt 'Electrified'
The magician last night took to a 20ft-high podium at Pier 54 in New York, where he was surrounded by one million volts of electric current.
The 39-year-old will remain on the platform for 72 hours with the electricity passing around his chainmail suit and wire helmet.
During a trial run of the stunt — called Electrified: One Million Volts Always On — David revealed: "Being in the middle of a lightning storm, it feels so amazing, being in an environment you shouldn't be in."
